Along with the Purrloin line, I fell in love with Deerling and Sawsbuck at first sight. It helps that they remind me so much of Nara deer, which are the most adorable deer in the world. Their changing with the seasons is also incredibly ground-breaking. I think they go amazingly well with Shaymin as well; Deerling's in-game cry even sounds very similar to Land Forme Shaymin's!

Sometime after the release of Black and White in Japan, the Pokémon Centers released two varieties of Deerling straps: the single, and the double. The double strap comes with a strap with Deerling's Japanese name on it and seasonal motifs.

When I first saw this gashapon item, I originally thought it would be flat and simply the front was molded out. But it turns out this fastener is double-sided, flat but molded out on both sides, and seems very durable!

A very beautiful Summer Deerling figure, featured in a Clipping Figure set that commemorated the 14th Pokémon movies, Victini and the Black Hero Zekrom/White Hero Reshiram. Clipping Figures are named for the trading card they come with, which is called a "clipping". The clipping features the figure in a dynamic setting with trivia about that Pokémon. Some sets are blind-boxed, others aren't.

Specifically the promotion was themed after the Musical minigame in Pokémon Black and White. The details are very lovely as well; the spots are embroidered, and the little bow and tophat are made out of satin.

Black and White seems to have broken all molds in Pokémon collecting, and this promotion of metal charms is no exception. Banpresto's My Pokémon Collection made the unprecidented move of aiming to release every Unova Pokémon in plush form, and the Pokémon Center seemed to turn that into a challenge and decided to release every single Pokémon up to Kyurem in metal charm form. This is an amazing eight piece set of all four seasonal forms of Deerling and Sawsbuck!
